Thursday July 7th

Thursday, July 7th

The day started extremely early again as I had to have the minivan in to Okotoks Honda to have a rear brake job or starting to grind a little bit. I finished up there around 1030 and headed home to meet a couple folks picking up some auction items from me that I had sold online. Jacob had had a sleepover at Vincenzos and the boys rode their bikes home through the valley. I made lunch for the boys and got everything backed up in the boat to return to the farm to store until August. I dropped Vincenzo off in Cranston and headed out to the farm. I had a nice visit with Mary and we got everything unhooked I'm headed back into town to meet another auction item person. I had a quick shower and headed down to the stampede grounds for my first shift Nashville North four sneak a peek night.
The train ran smoothly and I got there on time. My first shift was extremely busy as the beef and buys in the shack is at the back of Nashville North we are hundreds of people are lined up starving for food after hot date out in the sun and probably too many beverages. There are many different bands coming and going every power to entertain the patrons and the headliner was Tim Hicks. He had the place of salute Lee rocking and singing along with his popular music. I was extremely busy prepping food and helping barbeque just about every meat product you can imagine from burgers to Smokies to chicken. Time absolutely flew in the next thing you know it was midnight and I headed home on the train after the fireworks. I rolled into the house about 1 AM exhausted collapsed in the guest bedroom bed. It was a busy exciting day but very successful.
