Day 1 of summer holidays - where to begin...

Up at 6am of course. Why not.
I settled in to the couch and watched 8 episodes of Black Sails - a sort of Game of Thrones pirate show that was quite addictive actually. :)
I made some lunch for the boys and I and then ran out to the farm to grab the boat and bring it to the city to start prepping it for a rip on the weekend. Managed to get it to run fine and loaded it up with all the toys and extra batteries.
I spent several hours on the computer balancing the books and paying bills and doing some serious filing and house cleaning.
You blink and it's time to make a meal again.
I got invited to eat out with neighbours Randy and Caroline at Muriettas downtown. Krista had to work late and was unable to join us. We got downtown around 6:30 PM and the restaurant was empty. Restaurants downtown on long weekends are apparently a ghost town. Caroline, her sister Susannah, Randy and I had a spectacular meal. We shared some mussels and hummus and I had a delicious meal of scallops and spicy chorizo sausage.
We walked around the downtown core for a while and ended up at Earls on fourth for a beverage and watch the Riders lose to the Argonauts unfortunately. We headed back to the Minnings house and met Krista for a nightcap and a quick visit before calling it a day. Another fantastic busy day in the books.
